[CQ] MPC 3000

Hi all
On A4 paper feeding LEF on single copies colour & mono the copy is faint sometimes totally blank except for a line of print along bottom of copy (short edge),the fault is intermittent sometimes they are fine,any advice greatly appreciated,thanks in advance.

Hey,

I will presume all the all the PCU and dev units are within their life along with the transfer unit.

If so, remove the laser unit and take the shutter off it completely, but leave the hinges that operate the shutter. I have found they warp over time and leave weird copy quality issues.

As you said it's intermittent and for both Mono and color then it should be ITB or ITB's connection terminal's,or broken transfer roller brackets for sure.

Before you're going to replace/adjust/clean laser units and pcu's, just one important question : Does it only happen with copies, or also with prints?
If it only happens with copying checking the optics is the first thing to do.

Thanks for the feedback guys,I visited the m/c on my road home last night, it is in an extremely cold enviroment(church).I checked optics,transfer belt & roller,all seemed fine (fault is on prints & copies) I advised customer to keep room on a low heat and if this does not work will do as advised with laser unit,the crazy thing is after half an hour of the m/c being on it started working fine and continued to do so.Thanks again.
