    [Misc] image issue mpc2500

    hi,
have a mpc2500 that is giving an image problem. printing, scanning to pc, copying through the df all work perfect, black and white and colour. but the problem is when you copy from the glass, there is a blue/grey blackground on a colour copy. any help would be appreciated on this.

Sounds like someone has done a full memory clear. (Big no-no).
The non-default settings from the birth certificate will need to be re-iput in Sp mode. Hopefully its still tucked inside the front cover

        You need to set
        sp 4685-001
        sp 4685-002
        sp 4685-001
        sp 4686-002
        sp 4687-001
        sp 4687-002
to the factory settings as show on the sheet inside front door

Oddly enough, I have had this. Go into Copier/Document Server Feature and turn Auto Density on for color copies.

That dosnt fix the problem it just hides it until someone who knows how to fix it comes along. Oddly enough we had a RICOH engineer called out to fix this issue and he did just what you suggested because there was no Birth Certificate with the machine in the end I Just Re Input the data as described by Elmo that I took from another machine and Fixed it myself.

But... why does it matter as long as it works? The machine I did this to is still in the field and it was done 3 years ago.

I have had quite a few mpc's do this for some reason the data gets corrupt/reset
if you have the birth certificate great easy an quick just to reinstate values
if not its a case of play with the values till you get it right
