    [CQ] 2400w blank copies

hello, had a tech go out a 2400w for blank copies. he replaced the developer and initialized the id sensor there are no errors and the machine still scans. The manual says possible VDB, IPU or Lph led head are possibilities. I thought I would go out myself to reset the connectors on the boards and check the drum drive. He also said that after changing and initializing the developer it was adding toner when only running blank sheets. If there is no charge on the drum you should get black copies and if there is no charge the id sensor should have an error. any other suggestion would be helpful. Thanks

Check the toner cartridge for damage. I had one that was bent in the middle that caused me grief.
Also, if time permits, check the drum ground.
    Hope that helps.

try to isolate the problem by printing a counter, immediately stop the machine to see if there is an image on the drum. if there is an image then check the transfer corona ass'y. don't think about the toner supply right now because when you install a new developer you can still print without toner cartridge. focus on development unit, transfer and main charge coronas. after that LPH, boards etc.
      Nobody is perfect..
