    Keep your anger to yourself.

You dont have to voice it here. I only ask if its possible to reset. If most people dont reset their machines, so be it. I am fine with machine without resetting them.

DOnt worry, I wont comment on you at all.

The Part Number for the NVRAM that is situated on the Controller Differs from machine models the one you need is the B230 9590 that's the same one on the MPC2000, 2500 and 3000 the MPC2800,3300,4000 and 5000 use D023-9590.... Thanks bantams, but I think better to destruct this message asap. It might be too sensitive.

So just save yourself an enormous amount of stuffing around and keep the meters real. It's no big trade secret -it's simple a bloody nightmare - ESPECIALLY on a colour machine as you describe. But yes any old IC will do.
Thanks for advice. Yes, my clients are fine with meter readings in it, they understand its refurbished machine. In fact, most of my machines have running counters never reset. Cheers dude.

I can only see that this would be at all ok, if you replace each and every motor and clutch = remanufacture the machine.

Then I would say yes, this could go as round 2.

But if you just dump in a few feed rollers and drums and wipe it down?? (Not saying this is what you are doing, but it is possible!) Then I'm with the guys who deem it fraud!

There are many terms one may call it. As long as the customer is aware that the machine is used, one can call it, preowned, used, refurbished, retuned, and the seller, does his part to guranteed good printouts, and the customer is happy with the service. There is no fraud.

Unless, the seller, package the machine, as NEW, when its used, there is clearly cheating. my 2cents.

There are also those that wish to reset the counters to zero to cover up the excessive use a particular machine has had, so they can then sell it for a much higher price than it is worth, regardless of the overall current performance of the machine. This, in my experience, is the usual reason for people asking "how to do it"....just my 2 cents

We've always sold machines with original counters. When someone want the machine refurbished with counters to zero we provide to him a recent proof of the real counters the machines had prior to resetting the counters.

Giving a copier a 'haircut' (or a full military shave) for the convenience of the customer doesn't make sense to me.

                      Easily faked, sadly.
