Yes you can log in and send and retrieve from browser

Same here. I had a couple of calls yesterday about the same issue.
It seems that the IP address of the SMTP has been changed.
I'm using xxx@yahoo.ca. I pinged the SMTP server,and used the 'new' one, and it worked fine again after that.
No idea why it would have been changed. I'm expecting more calls today

Why are you using the IP address and not the hostname? If you don't have a reliable DNS you can use Google's open DNS 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.

Interestingly, I could never get it to work with the SMTP Hostname with YAHOO, but I tried that again just for fun, and NOW that works too! - Just to add to my confusion

I feel like yahoo is monkeying with their settings

Fortunately, GMX does NOT require SSL.

Plain ol' port 25.

Unless they've changed it recently, of course...

I've heard GMX is blocked by several domains due to excessive spam. Seems like there's some truth to that, because I just set up an account, and emails sent from GMX don't arrive in any my other email accounts

Due to the sheer amount of spam to do with yahoo accounts we recommend to customers to use a gmail account....save a crapload of heartache and callouts.

what values do you use to set up scan to email using gmail on ricohs???
I use this while using Yahoo...

Administrators email Address: (whatever you want)

Reception

Reception Protocol : POP3
E-mail Reception Interval : OFF
Max. Reception E-mail Size : 2 MB
E-mail Storage in Server : Off


SMTP

SMTP Server Name : 98.136.185.95
SMTP Port No. : 587
SMTP Authentication : ON
SMTP Auth. E-mail Address: yourmail@yahoo.com
SMTP auth username: (your yahoo user info)
SMTP Auth. Password: change (enter your email password)
SMTP Auth. Encryption : Auto Select

Those are the settings i have been using and they have been working up until Monday.

Don't use Gmail due to the fact that it requires SSL (To the best of my knowledge)
