    [CQ] PRO 906EX FAINT COPIES

    Hi Guys!!

problem with the pro 906 has constant faint copies and has done only 700k but i have replaced the PM parts and serviced the toner bank system and calibration done to no avail.

apparently I'm not getting any service codes what astonishes is that the toner hopper unit has toner and when added by SP2207 works for sometime.

any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked your vsp/vsg values to see what the machine is doing?

      polar,
it varies when faint but when you set the CQ to be OK and perform TD sensor and ID its a go

Had the same probem with a pair of 1357EX machines (Europe) doing the same thing, especially at a very long runs (same customer). Seems like Vref gradually goes up as a developer gets worn out, even when it did not reached its life (500k). After a certain Vref value the machine struggles to maintain the original 2,50V and pauses printing for much longer period to do a process control procedure. F/W error? I don't know. However it gets better after a manual forced 2-962 execution, not for long though. Anyway, in my case the only permanent solution was (is) changing the developer. This usually starts to happen at around 400k after the last PM.

It used to be so much better in previous non-PRO models... Those were the days! /Kris
