Replace the controller with the correct type, not from another model.

My idea is that if you used the MP3350 control board, you probably have 2 bad control boards now. Seriously!

Really?? Then please, do share this 'universal' controller board P/N with the community.

I think some of the misunderstanding might be that your post is in "broken English". Let me give it a try.

You have replaced the HDD and the HDD-PCB PN#D3625170 (which is the same number on the MP4000 and MP3350). The error still remains after the swap?

The SC-878 is an authentication error. Try reloading firmware if possible. If not, then you need to replace the controller PCB (this will be the larger board the HDD and HDD-PCB is attached to). There are 4 boards listed in the parts manual so make sure you choose the correct one based on your scanner type (color/monochrome) and speed (40ppm/50ppm).

my friend this is the p/n of MP4000 cotroller board : D0125734 and for MP3350 control board0195316. But the HD P/N of both machines are the same -P/N M3085130. Better buy a new HD don't use the old HD from other machine.

D3625180B is actually the Hdd Controller Pwb for the Ricoh spc420dn. I'm not sure if it's compatible with the mp 4000\3350s, but maybe... This is a small board just for the HDD. Everyone is telling you to change the main controller board for the machine. I would listen to rsyarcia if I were you and order the parts he's listed for you. Good Luck
