I have 1 of thease with black streaks and double image repeating down page after a SC300 code light. I removed primary CW and cleaned it then I got the black streaks. Is this because the drum was coating with toner and the cleaning blade is caked with toner? Machine has a meter of 16,941 and is the original drum. Can the drum be bad already or just go and reprime blade will solve possbly?

Replace the charge corona wire and clean the corona housing, make it shine, the cleaner the better. Also replace the cleaning wire pads on the corona. The drums usually hold up for considerably longer than your copy count. I would service the corona before even thinking about the drum.Comment

Re: Ricoh MP W2400
You replaced the charge wire, then black streaks occurred?
Can you please provide a picture of that? It would really help.
In the mean time, the charge grid is dirty or damaged, replace that or the entire primary corona unit with a new one and be done with it. If you replace the unit, make sure the charge wire cleaner linkage is reassembled correctly before you put the covers back on the machine. If you replace the grid only, clean the charge wire and corona unit shell and then make sure the cleaner linkage is assembled correctly before you put the covers back on.Comment
