Replacing the power supply unit, thermistors and fusing belt does not resolve the problem Error occurs every other day. Any ideas?

Re: SC 543 (MP C2550)
It is very rarely a PSU or BCU. Did you check the thermostats? (don't just check them in situ) Thermopile? What are the bearings like? Gears cracked or chipped? (Pressure gear is worse for this, also check the quality of the clutch gear). -
Re: SC 543 (MP C2550)
Also, if you have time, you might want to check if this is a phantom error caused by unreliable power from the outlet the machine is plugged into. A long shot to be sure, but I've seen enough SC540 series error codes caused by unreliable power it is something you should at least consider after replacing those parts.Comment

Re: SC 543 (MP C2550)
The GG indicates there's a TSB (#023) that relates to SC543 on this machine, but being the "have not" that I am, I have not got access to it ....Anyone?Comment

Re: SC 543 (MP C2550)
Thermostats are good because there is continuity. Bearings are also good because i checked it while replacing the fusing belt.I also checked the voltage in the outlet and it is 220V. I am thinking to swap the whole fusing unit just to isolate the problem. I can reset the error code but still problem occurs in the next day.I will check SC history for error timings.Comment

Re: SC 543 (MP C2550)
Although one part of it kind of says "Don't bend the upper fusing stay", and the yellow thermistor appears to be near that.Last edited by Iowatech; 07-08-2013, 12:30 AM.Comment

Re: SC 543 (MP C2550)
I agree with the posts above. SC543 is normally caused by a lamp NOT coming on so the status in the manual does not make sense. Thermal fuses are normally to blame so make sure you test all of them (out of circuit) as DMMs sometimes get confused and give false continuity with lamps in circuit.
Also test all lamps for continuity.
You did remember to clear the SC once you tested and reseated the fuser?Press the GREEN button!!Comment

Re: SC 543 (MP C2550)
i hope you replaced the thermostats and make sure your belt is not bumpy as the thermistors tend to faulter on temperatureComment
