Re: Ligth copies
I have had a few high volume machines give me some light copy troubles. Could be the end sensor on the toner hopper on top of the dev unit. I also had the motor that drives the toner supply roller in that toner hopper go out and that gave me fits for awhile to find. Machine doesn't throw any motor codes it just starts getting lighter and lighter. Eventually I think mine threw a TD sensor error code which make you think you might have a dev unit issue. I found mine by going into the output checks and running the motors one by one and the toner supply roller motor never came on. Just a couple of things I have seen. -
Re: Ligth copies
Check the toner controls.
SP 2208 should be set for Sensor Control. Pixel count setting on most machines will cause a slow undertoning.
SP 2966 when Process Control is ran. Process control is normally ran when the machine is turned ON. Machines that are ON 24 hrs a day need to have 2966-001 set to 1 to force a process control after the number of hours set with 2966-002.
SP 2967 is used to turn ID pattern during warmup or after periodic Proces Control set with 2966.
SP 2969 can be used to run an ID pattern during long multicopy runs.Comment
