Ricoh Af MP C2051 Cyan offset on B&W pages

Hello again. I have a Ricoh Aficio MP C2051 that has Cyan offset on the B&W pages. Looks like bad cleaning blade on cyan drum unit. Any one have suggestions?

    G'Day mate,

Are you able to post an example and perhaps provide a little more info like does it occur both prints and copies? How do the colour outputs look? Is registration ok?

On most color machines, during B/W printing the transfer rollers for the color PCUs are not engaged and the ITB is not against the color drum. If the belt is staying in contact with the cyan drum, you may have trouble removing the PCDU and or the ITB without damaging either drum or the belt.

        Hi there!
My suggestion is the ITB-cleaningunit, hope this helps.
        Greetings...

If you pull the Cyan unit out and the drum appears to be dusted, then it is the PCU. (bad cleaning blade, but you can't replace just the blade). (I have this happen on occasion; just have to replace it).

If the customer is using non OEM toner, then it could also be the developer unit dusting. I have had nothing but trouble with drum units from customers that insist on using non OEM toner on these machines.

Not part of this issue from your description, but more or less an observation:

The ITB cleaning unit on these machines is not real robust and if the customer is doing full color pages with a lot of fill (IE, full pictures) and the ITB cleaning unit is anywhere near the 120k limit, it needs to be replaced, but this is typically only an issue when doing color, not B&W.

If you are doing B&W only and getting color back ground, guaranteed it is one of the color drums dusting badly so that it transfers over to the ITB unit even tho it is not in contact.
