    [Misc] Blurred or smudged copies

    Hi there

Just asking if anyone has problems with blurred or smudged copies on a Ricoh MP C7500/6000. I have got 2 machines with the same defect.

    Thank you

It's usually when the PCU, ITB or PTR lube bars are shot and the cleaning blades need replacing.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I have 2 machines that were blurring just a portion in the center of the copy and replacing the drum fixed both of them.

Thank you very much for the info.

I will replace the k drum for starts, because this only happens with k copies.
Then we will see how it goes.

Usually when I get a call for blurry copy on a color MFP it is line position that is off. Clean the ID sensors and then do forced line position c and a.

If it's blurring like a 3D image, I'd agree with Slimslob.

If it's blurring like a smear, as it must be as it's only on black, then I agree with Kwehner.

Oh well, it'll be the drum then. You should do the lube bar, 2 blades, corona and potentially the brush at the same time too. They all do 200k each, apart from the brush which does 400k.
