    [CQ] 430dn printer faint band

We have a customer who uses ceramic toner in this machine and they have sent these samples.
Any ideas? (They have changed the transfer belt) the images are n portrait. This machine has been on site for 2 yrs with no issues until now.

I have been sent these images as the machine is in Cuba!

Being that the device is in Cuba, my first guess would be humidity in the paper, or outside of the specs that the machine recommends. Does the issue happen with fresh paper? Is the machine directly under, or in close proximity to an AC duct or unit? Outside of that, it could be time for a new fuser if the unit is heavily used.

The difference in density most possible caused by the quality of toner. I don't know for the black mark.

If the machine is 2 years old, have the drum units ever been replaced?

I would get a config page how many pages on the machine. I think the pcus go around 50k, i image they have been replacing them and since all of the colors are doing it likely its not the drum. the transfer belt should be replaced around 100k if that was due then they should replace the transfer roller on the door side along with it.

Recommend replacing the xfer roller on the door, and possibly taking a vacum to it, there is an sp mode you can use to open the laser shutter and make sure its not all dusty in there, dust on the laser glass with give you density issues, and a crappy xfer roller will give you horizontal or vertical bands depending on where its bad.
