mp 161 not scanning after power outtage

The mp 161 has been scanning for years, maintain man comes in starts tripping breakers to find a problem, now i cant get it to scan?
I think its the router, it has a firewall and it might have been corrupt by all the power on and offs,but i still print of coarse, that goes out not back in to the pc, i have checked all my settings and they are the same,
is it possible that the scan in the machine is down but not the print? on these i thought the print and scan are in the same eeprom,or pcb
HD faulty?but wouldn't the machine code for me?and scan does not use sd card on this model, so that aint the prob.
Cable? I have connectivity i can read the web access, print,ping ex cettera .
I still think its the router, i cant log onto it, the passw section is wacked, types in stuff on its owne, when you enter pw, ...
but anybody have this issue please enlighten me. thanks

Connect the machine to a laptop and see if you can scan to a folder on the laptop. If that's possible, you can forward the problem to the IT-guys.

Exactly! Always the next thing to try when strange network issues arise. Remove the clients network from the equation to isolate the issue

BTW, the MP161SPF doesn't have a HDD...

well thats why it didnt code there aint no code for no hard drive...lol
