Customer never set up the scanner function and asked if I could set up a folder for scanning.When I tried to enter admin mode to access the address book the user/password where not any of the standard combinations.There doesn't appear to be a supervisor mode so I'm wondering is there an SP to reset the user/password back to default?

I have always used the WIM, I didn't know you could do it from User ToolsThis copier was a lease return so the previous owner reset the password, user tools is not locked but are you able to enter the user/password for folder authentication from usertools also?Thanks.Comment

The default credentials for the WIM on that older unit are:
username: administrator
pasword: passwordComment

This uses a Key Operator code, not a Login/password combo. You can reset it in service mode, not sure of the exact SP but you will find it in 5xxx.Comment

They only need to remember their password. If this password is forgotten, please try the following:1) The admin password is the same for both WebImageMoniter and telnet. Ask whether the customer remembers either of the two.2) Try the factory default "password".3) If both 1) and 2) do not work, a service engineer has to reset the password for the customer. Follow these steps:3-1) (IMPORTANT) Print a configuration sheet at the beginning. You will need the configuration sheet to restore the network settings. 3-2) Enter SP mode.3-3) Enter SP 5-801-011 (Memory Clear > NCS).3-4) Press [Execute].3-5) You will be asked for confirmation. (IMPORTANT) This will reset all of the network and interface settings. Make sure you have printed the configuration sheet.
