What would cause paper being fed L.E.F. to bend the lead edge corner down? I know that it was sticking on the heat roller, and decided it was best to replace both rollers. However, after replacing them, the problem persists. I decreased the fuser temperature and it seemed to help but there is still some minor bending. Prior to servicing the problem the folding would cause the paper to stop before exiting the machine. Thank you for any help given.

Re: Ricoh Aficio 2035
When you replaced the heat tube and press roller, did you also replace the pickoff pawls (aka fuser fingers)? It sounds like you've got a build up of toner on one of them, or the tensioner spring has gotten too loose. Either way, doesn't a new heat tube deserve new fingers? -

Re: Ricoh Aficio 2035
Is it a bend with a crease or just a general curl? If it's catching on a stripper or something, you should see a nick at that point. It's normal for paper to curl to some level when fed LEF because the grain is perpendicular to the paper travel. As stated by Zaxxon, moist/damp paper will curl more but also paper that comes off the roll close to the core when manufactured will curl more than that which is cut from the outer diameter.
Also, is there a finisher attached? If so, have you tried removing it to see if the problem is occurring before it exits the copier or in the finisher?Comment

If it's only bent over & not folded flat, problem is occuring after exiting rollers. Look for toner buildup or stripper fingers condition. You could always flip paper over to check if it's paper curl.Comment
