Well ya learns something new everyday didn't even realise myself till now but theres 2 SP modes on these the standard one and the special one
the special one is the one you need
Starting SSP Mode For the basic machine (the machine without the optional controller box), perform as listed in
steps 1 through 4. For the GDI machine (the machine with the optional controller box),
perform as listed in steps 1 through 5.
1. Type the keys as follows: [Clear Modes] > [1] > [0] > [7]
2. Press the key and hold it down until the SP-mode menu shows (about 3
seconds).
3. Press the [Enter] key and hold it down. 4. While holding down the [Enter] key, press the [1] key (on the numeric
keypad).
5. While holding down the [Enter] key, press the "OK" key.

Not sure which is the enter key as ive never seen one on a Ricoh machine unless it's the '#'?
In that case you might want to double-check your thermistor connectors or the PSU, because if you can't find SP5810 (I can't remember if this series even had it), then you've reset the code and something is still wrong with the machine and causing it to reappear.
Per the SM, enter SP mode and then turn the main power off. After trying clearing the error code, restart the MFP with the front door open. If the code is still there, it was not cleared and you have a board problem. If there is an uncorrected problem, it will not code again with the door open. Enter SP mode and check reading on rear thermistor. At room temperature, I usually see a reading in the range of 20 to 30. If you have a reading of 0, either the thermistor is open, there is an open in the wiring, or the power supply board is bad.
