    Pro c901 dead

Client has a c901 that just died on warm up. Completely dead no power. We replaced power supply and still dead. Could this be bad IOB board?

There is more than 1 PSU in the C901 ! Have you tried the basic disconnect ALL ACCESSORIES and try to boot up?? Pull the fuser out, Open the front door and boot? check psu out puts with a meter? any LED's lit up on PCB's?? Was there any service done right before this occured?? Yes it could be the I/O but I would do more checking Before replacing the IOB or any other PCB's.

Behind the machine there are two IO boards at the bottom. IOB has a connector on the back that doesn't go all the way in if you just press it in and bolt it in. You have to remove both IOB boards and push the connector towards the board.

I replaced the IOB2 board and had a blank screen, but if you squint you could just barely see a SC601 on the screen.

        Also, check the breakers, obviously.
