    Ricoh MP3350 Toner Hopper/Holder Problem

Okay, went out to do an imaging unit rebuild and dv change for the client, all went well, except when we put the toner back in and push it back in we can't get the handle to click back down into place. Seems like something is stopping it. If we pull the metal TEE part out then we can push the handle down, but this does not seem to be a good thing.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

You will need to strip the hopper down and clean with a vac all the excess toner inside it. It probably clogged up when trying to put toner into the Old broken PCU.

Clean it and change the green cam-handle.
It's common for 1027,2022,2510,3350 models to have problems with handles, they are made out of wery slim plastic,it's supposed to push metal roller and slider cylynder outwards, but it wears off (deforms) and stops halfway.
Even worse is that such cam can cause black plastic beneath the Slider Ass`y to brake, then you're looking at changing entire hooper.
        A267 3605 Cam - Handle,saves alot of trouble.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?

After cleaning I even put a light coat of grease on the plunger and cylinder for smooth operation. Never had any problems with it.
