Re: C3502 Firmware Failure
I have never had any problems with upgrading firmware, I probably do it on about 75% of the calls I go to (as hardly anyone else in my team seems to know how to do it), I select all relevant files at once and let the machine do it's thing, the LCDC is always the last one that the machines uploads, you can tell when this is loading as the light flashes on the start button a lot quicker, then power off once the display shows update complete. I know I'm probably sad, but I'm looking forward to my first play with the new Package firmwareeveryting at once.. and I repair the machine whilr running firmware upgrade..
when Iam redy with 4 new pcu the firmware is ready too.. restart and mc done
(just calibration of the new drums)
package would be nice.. lucky we now got a guy that get all firmware every week.Comment

Re: C3502 Firmware Failure
I recommend doing the system and engine together, then reboot and do all the rest together. And remember the DF and finisher will take the longest, so if they're not having issues skip 'em. Don't shut the machine off or unplug it while doing the update!!!!!!!!!!!!.................Mystic Crystal RevelationsComment

I agree, I do Sys / Eng together. Power Save, LCDC on their own then the rest of the Main M/c as 1 lot. Doesn't take much longer, but helps Safeguard and identify if something goes wrong.Comment

Re: C3502 Firmware Failure
Yes, it will display loading firmware then show up as package, when you run that the only firmwares you will see update is the ones it needs. Keep in mind your current firmware has to be at a certain level for this to work. I believe if you go into service mode and see a firmware update tab at the bottom this package firmware will work.Comment

Thanks for bringing this topic up.. I wonder if you can pull the fuser and pcu out while updating the firmware?Comment

Re: C3502 Firmware Failure
I don't remove anything during an update, too risky. I opened a cover one time during an update and it locked up on me. It recovered, but I am a little skittish about getting too multi-tasky while updating.NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment

Re: C3502 Firmware Failure
I would suggest removing what you need to ahead of time then do firmware, it's always a good idea to do firmware with a door open anyway.
I learned that lesson the hard way, i was in the middle of updating the finisher firmware on the B246 series and it threw a fuser code, i had to replace the finisher main board to recover it.Comment
