    Web Device Monitor

    Some questions
    1. when the Network Admin recieves an email notifying him of a wreck or out of toner or paper can he recieve one saying the machine is back in normal use.
    2. Is it possible for the network Admin to know for how long has the machine been out of use.

I think the answer is no for this one. I might try the Smartnet Admin. If I remember correctly, you can view the status of the network devices in real time. It shows which ones are calling for toner, jammed, etc.

The only way I know of for this would be to check the print queue on the server, or maybe printing a job log. I'm not sure if the Smartnet Admin can help with this one or not.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

KM-Net Viewer can do this on Copystar & Kyocera products, Ricoh, Canon, and most HPs. I don't know what other brands it can pick up.

This tracking down time can be determined from the send time on the emails. I have to tell you though that this utility is genuinely irritating. We had it running for a few weeks, and the stupid thing would pop up for every paper jam, or toner low. I get enough emails without the copier emailing me.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks David, we´ve got a software that does the same, web SmartDeviceMonitor and it also pick up allot of brands, my only problem is, does the software email the Admin when the machine comes back to normal working mode. and the customer wants to know how long has it been out of use, don´t customers have anything to do than invent, hehehe.

It will email at the time of the error, but does not email when function is restored. This won't help you for that.

Don't do that. I would think that you would be used to being asked impossible requests by now.....

Paul, you might try contacting your Ricoh rep. Fortunately ours has a good bit of software knowledge and can come up with answers pretty quickly when we need them. Don't know what the chain of command is there across the pond, but it might be worth a shot. Also let him know there's a pretty nice size deal riding on a solution. If that doesn't work, you might want to look at a 3rd party monitoring software, but I don't have any info or use any at this time.

                    its possible

machine recovery mail is possible,it doesnot require any softwares for that.
all ricoh machines with autumn controller(enhanced GW) does this.
still i use to get these error mails and recovery mails from the machine.
