MP3350 Toner Hopper Problem

Ok, we cleaned machine and the toner hopper now does not operate correctly. Seems like the handle will not go into down position unless we pull out the center rod manually to make it go down. Took the hopper apart and cleaned everything, nothing seems broken, using OEM toner. What gives?

Simple, replace the toner supply unit...

Normally you get hard toner building up around the spring and the customer then snaps the handle off. If you cleaned it all out and still getting issues just order a new hopper assembly.

Remove the metal pin/rod that pulls the toner bottle cap clasp an apply a thin film of silicone grease.
It's the pin/rod that cams up and down on the green toner hopper handle. A thin film of gease allows
this pin/rod to turn in the plastic housing like a roller bearing and greatly assists the handle cam action.
This will give you a fix in the feild until you can order a new toner hopper ass'y. If you apply silcon grease to the new hopper pin/rod you will get a long life out of the new one. It's the pin roller bearing action that stops the handle cam from waring a flat spot in the plastic.
