    Ricoh MP 5001

    Counter at 250K Copies ok but want to replace Developer.....last time we replaced developer in one of these machines developer box started leaking and ended up replacing dev again this time with new box. My question is.....Is it necessary to replace the box every other time you replace dev. or just do bushings?

      No. Just be certain that you do not damage it.

          Vacuum the waste toner path of the pcu before you change the developer. Make sure to put a piece of paper between the pcu and the development unit when you initialize the developer. After that make some copies with high coverage until the machine is going to ask for toner. Then remove the piece of paper.
          Also make sure the development roller is not contaminated with toner.
