This machine generates 990 after a no. of copies ,the drum and developer all new.Serviced the unites and adjusted image pixel SP 2208-001 n what i get is frequent over toning any ideas to stop the over toning.

Check the Developer, and the drum when worn they can throw up this code.

When you replaced the drum and developer. did you also replace the charge roller? Clean the image density sensor with a damp cloth and execute SP 3001-002. Check SP2103-001 thru 004 to see if they are at or near +64. Return SP 2001-001 and SP 2103-001 thru 004 to their default values. If the problem returns, you might have to replace the laser diode unit.
