Ricoh Aficio 2027 - Double Side Fails

Hi!. I have a Ricoh 2027 this machine has a strange fault. When I want copy to both side in Legal (8.5x13 or 8.5x14) the second side moves the text to the right side. But only with this size, with the Duplex mode. Other sizes and single copy not fails.

I changed all parts, fuser unit, duplex unit, OPC Unit, scanner, registration clutch... everything but nothing happens

any help???

Looks like a memory problem or a defective BICU.

Looks like a memory problem or a defective BICU.

I changed... but I'll try to change it again and the memory. Thanks for your help!

You may be getting some walking of the paper in the duplex. Have you tried 8 1/2 x 11 short edge feed to see if you get the same thing. If so, check the springs on the non-driven rollers in the duplex unit.

Check the settings in User Tools> Coper feaures> editing> 2-sided

I tried with 8 1/2 x 11 and works perfect also I change the duplex unit and the machine does the same thing.

The only times I've seen something like this it was the SBU, but when I encountered that it was much worse. Almost every line would be shifted in that fashion then, so that copies would look more like abstract art rather than a reproduction of the original document. And it was that way in every copy mode. So that might not be the case.
But if the defect is happening perpendicular to print paper travel in the machine and you can print out the meter report with no problems, it is something that you may wish to consider.

I've had uneven press rollers cause similar problem to this also had reg rollers do it too only happened on Long edge feed short edge feed was fine.

Before you dig further into this... what about when you print duplex on legal size from a computer or from sp mode 5990? do you get the same issue... just to rule out the scanner or df issue...

Is the laser optic clear? (Poligon mirror, laser sync. sensor ect.)
Error messages? (print a loggin data)

Maybe you can change your Laser Unit and Polygon Motor by trying

Because last time i also facing this problem but slightly different problem compare with your image.
