mpc3500 portrait will not run

I have a mpc3500 will not run portrait, it stops right after the reg roller into the fuser and just coming out of the fuser, it will run landscape all day long!!
ii was tested with portrait,ran 75 , delivered it, ran another 25 or so showing to client, 2 hours later client calls, jamming , go back and it will not pass portrait .
had to set up all drawers for landscape to get it to pass paper,
Paper feed stepper motor? but wouldnt it do it on all directions? does it on all drawers, 1( which is set landscape),2,3 and 4??
1st Paper feed clutch? but second drawer feed clutch same trouble? or do they run in unison so if one hick ups the other one is affected?
also had some passage with perfect crease 1/2" or so before complete no passage.
please advise

Are the drawers set for auto-size detection? Maybe it's set statically to letter landscape in user tools? Check the display when the paper is loaded, the paper icon for that drawer will indicate what orientation it is expecting. The location you're describing as where the jam occurs is typical for when length detection is not in spec.

*although not common, I have seen paper that was miscut for the mill and making the size slightly off.

yes thanks for the thought, this was the first thing i checked, also i tried drawer two and i set the paper and the same thing occured.
My tech went out yesterday on a error (please re set drum units??) im not sure this machine doesnt have grimlens, anyway, he reset all the paper drawers and the drum units and i have not had a call yet
but the paper being cut wrong? hmmm never would have thought of that.if they call again on the same thing, ill have my tech take some different paper and see if that is the problem.

is it jamming when printing color? had an issue with a machine were the monochrome prints out ok, but the color would jam at the fuser. Solved the issue by moving the leading edge of the print 2mm.

Try to adjust the fusing entrance guide by removing the two screws and use the other two holes on the entrance guide to adjust it.

ok ill give the entrance plate a try
still no call back today, mabey the clutches were just a little froze from sitting in a warehouse(doubt it) nothings that easy
and no on the color it was doing it on monochrome

If the machine is in a very dusty environment or the machine has some age on it,
try replacing the magnetic feed clutchs. These clutchs can bind from dirt and junk and cause a sheet to from
two trays at the same time; this may give you a timing error.
