Then he'll be back here in a week asking how to resolve an SC or a copy quality issue, completely neglecting to include the fact that he's refilled the toner bottle with a compatible brand for different machine! And wondering what could possibly be wrong???
      Unbelievable!

Obviously he needs one. If he had one he could just look up the code.

The only time I have ever disabled the toner % detection is when either the RFID board is bad while I order in new one or on a Ricoh national account with a bad RFID chip while they get a new toner cartridge from Ricoh. Refilling toner cartridges on any equipment ultimately costs more than it save.

Not possible, MPC 6000, 7500 6501, 7501 use a trickle feed development system and a percentage of developer is contained in each bag of toner - so no other ricohs have compatible toner. You should leave this machine alone as you obviously have no idea what your doing.

If I remember from the class, the toner contains 1% developer. That is why you cannot use the yellow toner to powder the drums or ITB.
