    Model???

The number you see in the display may not match the number you've dialed. The number you see is the number that has been programmed in the other machine.

Exactly. Or maybe it's been forwarded to a different location or web hosted fax server.
      This is not 'new'.

When you really want to know what a device is dialing you need a tool like the Faxmate test tool. It has a digit grabber function that will display the digits that are dialed on the pstn or pbx...............................

Thanks Eric... the fax does not go to the right number...also when I put the other Brother 4100 back in place, everything is fine ...goes to correct number...

Do a memory clear on the Fascimile Application (SP5-801-007), if that fails you may have a faulty fax board.

To be clear, is the correct number displaying as you type it in and then changes once you select start?
Have you tried calling your cell with it?

                  No Ricoh model number yet?
                  That's odd.
