Ricoh 3351 supervisor log in

I am trying to log in as the supervisor in order to change the user name and password . When I log in as Supervisor it prompts me for another password and fails authentication . Is there something I need to enter in the supervisors password or is there a problem with the eprom ?

The default password for the supervisor is blank ( no password) if it requires one then someone changed it. There fore you need to either get it from the admin that changed it or there are many posts that detail some of the things you can try to reset it.

I understand that if I can find out how to enter factory sp modes and enter 5801-11 and 5801-14 that this would do it . Can some one advise of how I can access
factory sp modes ?

Or I should have said factory sp mode 5846-046

Those sp's are all in the regular service mode.............

sp 5846-046 does not exist only 5846-043 and the next one is 047 all of the ones inbetween dont show up

I stand corrected, as I just got to a machine to try sp 5846-46. It is in Factory mode on this model. I'll PM you the info.

Hello, just re awakening this thread to find out if anyone has actually executed SP 5846-46

if so, how did it turn out? I intend to log this onto my cheat sheet but want to make sure that it is tried and tested, before my boss has my nuts.

Yes....EXACTLY the same way
