    c2800 sc547

This machine was working perfectly until it was hooked up to a diesel(?) power generator at a construction trailer. I've tried clearing the code (off-on 5810, execute, off-on). There do not appear to be any obvious blown fuses on the PSU.

Before I order a PSU, is there not a circuit breaker on this machine? I searched both the parts and service manuals and there was no mention of a breaker of any kind.

    TIA

Copiers don't do too well with generators. There are several soldered fuses on the PSU, might be worth while checking them, or just swap the whole PSU.

According to the manual the PSU has 14 fuses (FU1 to FU14). You can find them on the board marked with these characters. I doubt it is this, it is most likely that the generator isn't providing a constant power supply.

I see in the manual all the fuses but there are only six on this psu. 4 on the left and 2 on the right. See Pic. Are there more on the back of the psu?

Those are the ones mounted in fuse holders. The others are probably solder mounted fuses or fusible links. As ruben said, look at the lettering printed next to each component on the board.

I see. I never knew about those. Today is a good day. I learned something! Thanks fellas :-)

              Look what I found!

The fuse there checked out okay, unless the current went the other way around, idk. So I may try replacing that jumper.

I haven't held a PSU board in my hands for quite sometime. Wow, are they printed on paper or what? I've gotten birthday cards that were more sturdy.

              Thanks again for your help.

From the discoloration in that area, I would say that something there blew.

I wuldn't unsolder those on my own, fuses aren't the only ones to blow up in such cases from my experience.
Those big round coils are the ones to blame sometimes...I'm not shure how is it called in English but literal translation wuld be "silencer".
Electronic workshops handle those wery well for us,and ye it's like it was made on paper so take care,I'we seen one broken in half.
If you do try to fix it on your own be shure to have working PSU board close for comparing...once you are done with it compare Ohm resistance on pluged power cable,I can't recall exactly but I think that it shuld show around 40kOhms,anything below that will make fuses blow, bes hure to check it and correct me if I'm wrong pls,Good luck.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
