    Microsoft Support

I'd be contacting Microsoft. Windows 8 is Satan's operating system.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

If you have JAVA installed and they are not using it, disable it.

Just remember... "8 ain't so great", and you'll be fine.

Just for grins and if time permits, you might see if a Windows 7 print driver would work better.
Then again, I've only seen that work once, so maybe not.
          I miss RPCS.

Actually, the drivers from one OS to the other are identical. Just compare the versions and filesizes. Only differences are 32 bit Vs. 64 bit systems. I'm not sure why Ricoh bothers to list them all seperately - even for Win 8 and 8.1.

I think it is because Ricoh's download page is available to end users. Many users, if they do not see their exact Windows version listed, would not know what to download.

Just a silly thought, but are you sure it's using the driver you're trying to install and not Window's built in driver?

I've run into this on color boxes before. You go thru the whole have disk method, even trying the different radio buttons and it still loads the Windows driver. Looks right, but errors out when you try to change the defaults to B&W, etc.

Assuming the machine has postscript (you did say you tried the ps driver), try LPRing a troublesome PDF file to the machine. It will print without using a driver.

                  From a command prompt, type: LPR -S <ip of printer> - P lp c:\filename.pdf

The S and P are case sensitive.

This will tell you if it is a driver issue or not.
