if it happes that the machine give Jam 21... and not even a single paper is not passing it tends to be the fusing drive motor is the problem. basically the motor will run when you make output check... the problem there is that the white gear inside that motor has loose its grip to the shaft that why it does'nt drive... anyhow Good Luck Sadiq... Salam.

Is it that the motor does not run or that the hot roller does not turn? If the latter, see what see what coptech said. HR = hot roller.

have we try to check physically this motor? or even test it on other machine? hot roller gear is metal so it wont worn out that easily. sometimes the motor that drive the hot roller does come back to engage it has a spring and in time it accumulate rust.

Where are you seeing a metal HR gear on an MP9000? They didn't use metal until they got to the D101 line. Am I wrong?

Both of them do not run if fusing motor or hot roller.

Remove the fuser and run in output check the fuser motor by cheating the door switches

If the motor is turning I can bet you the drive motor is on a spring tension and the spring has got stuck in the frame causing the fuser not to drive or due to rust the spring and shaft are not releasing

Just add a touch of oil and manually push the shaft/spring in and out a couple of times until it feels free

If you find the fuser motor is not rotating with the fuser out of the device in output check, just order a new fuser drive motor

You are not wrong. I stand corrected. The B234 is a metal gear machine. Go with the spring loaded drive theory or the motor itself, or drive board. The strategy of cheating the front door and watching the drive with the fusing drive selected in the output mode is a good one.

Spin the knob on fuser does your rollers turn if not head to back of fuser and you will find a broken gear of doom replace gear and you will be back up and running sipping on a cold beverage after
