    Lanier LD630C with error sc899

Customer called this afternoon with error SC899 on LD630c. I understand that this may be a print job that is causing issues and that cancelling job and if long one, breaking it up into smaller segments for printing. Please advise . Frank/ActionPhotocopy

It usually is a caused by a print job from a web page with IE 8 or 9. Usually is caused by scrolling text or a moving .gif on the page. If this is the case, tell the customer to try print preview first which flattens the file(no moving anything) and then print from the preview. Another thing to try is to use PrimoPDF, NitroPDF or some other print to PDF software, then print the PDF file.

Apparently acrobat reader XI plug in for internet explorer is causing an issue as well. It is not closing off the print file so the printer CPU doesn't know what to do with it and ends up stalling. Try downgrading to acrobat X.

just to throw this out there have confirmed Groupon voucher printing and certain maps will also cause sc899. Many ricoh machines having sc899 with Web page prints. I was able once on a c300 to update firmware with file still in print queue and causing sc 899 to print without error after firmware. It was a Web page print of a line drawing for kids crayon coloring.
