The PostScript SD option for the MP C3001 is a Type 5501. If it is any other type, you have the wrong SD card. If it were a MP C3002, I would be inclined to say that the application had been moved to another card using SP5873 and had not been moved back. The other possibility is that someone has attempted to access the card with a PC.
So we must "uninstall" the software back to the ps card before removing it? It is mpc3001
If it was moved. Moving places the application on the other card. Only an identifier is left on the original which allows the card to be identified when moving the application back. An SD card application can be used only on one machine at a time. Software copywrite protection laws.
The card only was moved and we only need it on one unit. Must it be uninstalled via service mode before removing from original machine before removing it and putting it in other unit?

Well we tried the ps driver and all works fine as if the PS is truly installed as original. The ONLY hitch here is the annoying little message on bottom left screen saying the software has already been installed elsewhere. Other than that it works perfect.
Any ideas how to disable those messages that pop up on the screen?
I've got a HDD encryption unit fitted on a machine we've just had delivered and i want to know if I can remove the SD card and module and fit them to another machine of the same model?
Do I have to do an uninstall like the PostScript card? Because it's an encryption unit, am I likely to hit any security issues?

If the HDD encryption has already been initialized on one machine, you can not remove the SD card and use it elsewhere. Ricoh has set it to where once in use on one machine, a SD card cannot be removed and put in another machine. If there is an uninstall procedure in the service manual, then you can uninstall and move to the other machine.
