MPC3003 Home Screen Logo

Quick question, I tried to add a customised logo on the home screen for a customer, I followed the instructions exactly in the official guide (attached below) but each time I tried it failed, got a message saying incorrect format something like that, basically I get the same message with no SD card inserted. I created a folder called "custom_uiimage" on my SD card & in that folder was my logo named "insert.jpg" the size was 324 x 66 as the MPC3003 has the 9" screen? I can print this logo fine so the machine can see my SD card!
Like I say I followed the guide exactly! any ideas please!? am I missing something!?

It's one thing to call the file "insert.jpg" but it actually has to be a jpg file. Also I never load the image from a sd card, I load it from the WIM.

Hi, well yes the image is definitely a JPEG, so I didn't actually name it image".jpg"

I will try the WIM but thought it would be easier to do it at the MFD.

I have only done this through the WIM. Once I found out the size had to be EXACT all was good to go.

(Custom_uiimage) is wrong.The folder structure should be custom_ui / image/ and name the file insert.jpg. and yes the file size should be the exact as it is explained in the guide. and it's very easy through WIM as mentioned earlier. hope that helps

Create folder named "custom_ui" then in this folder create another folder called ''Image'' then put the logo named ''Insert.jpg'' in there.

Just a heads up, I have found that some applications do not work when creating the home screen image. When resizing an image with 'IRfanview' it would not work, but opening and resaving the image in mspaint would suddenly make it start working. Weird.

Yer, I had same issue.

We're putting our logo and service number on all new machines now and when I first created the image in GIMP2 I saved as a .jpg and it just wouldn't work.
Opened the image in paint, saved as .jpg again and basically created a duplicate using paint. Worked first time.
