    [Jamming] Ricoh SP-4210

I have two Ricoh SP4210 giving me the same problem. They are both jamming from the cassette. It's hit or miss when it will do it. sometimes it jams on the first page or two or will printer 20 pages before it jams. They are paper late jams and the paper isn't hitting on anything or getting stuck in the printer. The MP tray work fine without any problems. I have changed out the pickup rollers and sep. pad, cassette, and sensors. Anybody have any recommendations?

Print the logging data and check what the jam location number is. This will tell where it is actually jamming.

I tried to print the logging data on both machines but after it would press enter when it said execute it would go back to the logging data screen. I was able to print it on other machines they have with no problem. Any Suggestions?

The sensor under the black plate on the bottom of the machine on the right is probably out of place.

I have replaced the both of the sensor flags on both sides of the pickup roller. Do you think the actual sensor went bad?

OK I was finally able to get the logging data to print on one of the machines.

            The Jam location number is

            Total jam is 89
            -20 has 74
            -24 has 12
            power on had 2

            Any suggestions?

look at the SMC log data and Jam Location SP 7504, which is where you got those numbers from, should also say where each of those jam numbers refer to, such as J003 is a tray feed jam. Otherwise, look them up in the Service Manual.
