    MPC 3500 toner problem

    Machine displays ADD TONER
There is toner in the bottle

I put another toner botle in and it WONT EVEN START LOADING TONER...nothing happens

I also put in another drum/dev unit..the same...wont even try to load the toner

I vacumed the tubes, put apart the toner pump, cleaned it(it turns nicely)

The machine always displays add toner and whatever I do it wont even try to add toner.
If I try forced toner supply it fails immediately

Would changing the pump resove this?
(altho only electrical part in there is magnetic clutch. How would machine know it has to try adding toner by replacing it)

If I try output check, toner suply pump Bk,I can hear the clutch engaging.

    Thanx

The pumps on these machines are rubbish, they always break. If you are using non-OEM toner they will break a lot quicker.

Common issue, New toner pump should fix it, I've done lots of these. Something about something being worn in the pump itself I seem to remember seeing a diagram of it somewhere cant for the life find it.

I have had to change the toner supple nozzle on one machine as well but this was a once off.

              Ha he ha

Why machine wont go to ready even if I put toner directly(manually) to the dev/drum unit?

I've been there. Some machines don't display door open while the add toner message is being displayed. I've learned over the years to check tha all doors are closed completely.

Just replace the toner pump. Common problem on these machines. Manually pouring toner in the DV-Unit doesn't solve it. It can lead to overtoning and dirty hands.

Sir are you using the original toner? or the OEM(orange is better than green its headache). can we try to install a toner from a working machine if it will respond and load the toner. if not then install a new pump. best of Luck Sir.
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.
