They've been having this problem off and on for past few months. When they print a large number of pages (100+ at a time), a black band about .25"-.5" wide, non-uniform will appear across the top of the page going the same way as paper feed direction. I don't think it appears if they do SEF instead, but they use an LCT so no option for switching the feed direction.
I thought it was finally taken care of after I replaced the dev and rebuilt the drum and fuser, but it has been about 3 months (and maybe 30k prints) and they're complaining of the same thing. Not sure if the problem didn't go away and they just didn't bother to mention it or if it has come back.
Anybody experience this before?
Any suggestion to try first? I was thinking developer, but would like to re-affirm or discredit my belief.
