    c700ex pro not seeing finisher

C700ex pro does not see the finisher, if i dis engage the fin and run copy it spits it out, no jam indicated, witch means it doesnt know the fin is there, the fin goes through its prompts, but with it engaged, it jams at the mouth showing jam in e section witch means it didnt clear that section, but we know this, I have a sr 4010 and a sr5000 but im not sure the 5000 is the c model but never the less, when you open the fin door it should see its open and send an alert, no worky
so how do I check this connectivity? Im going to replace the connector, but i checked it its connected, but i suppose it could have pin damage. If the fin isnt recognized then i can up date the firmware to the sr5000 to make it a c.
    any ideas?

If the control panel shows finishing options ,i.e. sort, staple and punch, then the finisher is connecting. You may have something obstructing the paper from entering the finisher or the finisher entrance sensor is bad. It is showing a jam at E because the paper did not leave the machine exit sensor soon enough. I have seen the in feed guide to the finisher get bent to where it binds the finisher entry roller shaft.

yes ive seen this too,and it does show hole punch and staple in the lcd, but for the fin not to show the door open, or the dis engaged fin to not show jam after the machine passes the paper is odd.
I also observed the fin not activating when the copy was being made, Exe: entrance rollers not turning at all when the copy was in progress, this is usually the norm, if you dis engage a fin and run a copy the fin will start to operate in anticipation of the paper, then show jam when the paper doen not activate the entrance sensor..
Ricoh tech support says the sr5000 has to be a c model for color on this model, great! just my luck..
