    MPC2800

    Hi,

Had a customer complaining about the colors on this machine . .
He was right, red became purple, only yellow was good.
Did the color calibrition, but the test page came out total wrong !! Could not calibrate ! Only yellow was correct.

eventually changed the complete PDU units Magenta and Cyan. (with DV unit)
Then did the calibration again, this time is was good.
    So, with good hopes, I left . . .

But, however, customer called today and the colors were again not good, same symptoms

    Anyone an idea here ??

    Thanks in advance

I would check the waste toner collection is not blocked causing contamination on the ITB belt. It makes sense that it was fine after replacing the PCDU's as they wouldn't have been contaminated straight away.

So you checked my history Ruben . . .
Don't waste your time, its not worth it.

Busy working (I'm alone) and not always time for responce

We've swapped the machine with the color problem, it returned to Ricoh
                for your information . . .

I'll take a wild guess and say it's toner...some chineese toner messed it all up,you swaped PCU's and it was all good untill developer units spent toner they had and started using toner from the bottles...now u swaped entire machine.
I hope that new machine is using real deal toner?
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
