Recently been to a MP4002 with the "replace fuser web" message, i've cheated the sensor as a temporary fix, how ever is this web actually needed? A work colleague of mine says he never replaces them, he feels they are not needed!? I'm not so sure I have one on order but wondered what you guys thought?

You should definitely replace it, these machines suck so if there's a way to minimize the number of times you go back you should definitely take the time to replace it. -

"Replace Web" is usually an indication that the machine is due for a 160K PM. Web is included in the PM kit. There is a gear on one of the web shafts that requires a small hex key.Comment

Thanks, i'm going back to replace it today. Just looked in the manual it looks a real pain to change!?
I had reset all the PM counters before I noticed the web had actually run out (I rarely see a b/w machine) so assumed it was a simple SP reset.Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!
