MPC305sp missing print from USB icon

Hi,

I have a used mpc305 that I use as a loan machine, I wanted to install it so the customer could print from their USB drive to save installing it on their network etc, but I have tried a few USB drives & I simply dont see the option under the printer tab to print from it!? I can scan to the USB but nowhere does it give me to open to browse etc the USB from the control panel port.

I have tried flashing all the f/w to the latest versions still no change, any ideas?

If you don't have the optional HDD installed then you won't be able to print from an external memory device, only scanning will be available

Hi,

If you just use the IP address of the machine it's being replaced for, it should work fine for basic printing.
That's all I do when I set up loaner machine, regardless of the model. Never had a problem.
