    white copy in ricoh 3025

    hello ,
ricoh 3025 makes white copies and white print .
pcu unit is good tested in other machine, charge board is also good .
if it is a laser problem is there any tests or programs to locate the problem in laser.
knowing that there is no error code appears.
    thank you

Did you lose the contact spring for the PCU?

Im just a normal user, not a technician, but I had a similar problem in a Ricoh 2228 and the problem were the developers. They were not properly installed so the machine turned on correctly, no code errors but when it started printing, it only did white copies.

After reinstalling correctly, it worked normally.

      Hope it helps someway

If it was a laser failure, there would be an error.

When you say white (or blank), do you mean a totally white page? Or just VERY faint?
If you stop the copy process, is there any image on the drum?

The laser shield glass could be completely covered with toner. With the PCU removed, look in from the right and visually check. If there is a lot of toner on the shield glass, vacuum first then pull the glass out and clean it with a dry cloth.

Problem with the development roller drive. If the development roller stops turning, the print will fade from good to totally blank it about 1 to 2 inches.

Yes no image at all but some notches and defects on drum surface appear repeatedly .
The point I want tobe sure , if there is a problem in laser sure there is an error code.
thank you l will recheck everything thanks.

check and see if the drum unit is rotating .lock the switches and see what happens.I don't think it is a laser issue

thanks to Wester ,and Slimslob and all who replied.
the problem has bee solved, the blank was due to completely black toner on the laser filter glass, as well as charger spring malfunction.
