Java now resides on the controllers flash memory to speed things up a little, the current version is v11.23.00 / D1475579M.
You extract the sdk folder to the root of a suitable SD card then put it in the normal service slot and then power on.
It should automatically start the update once the rest of the MFD modules have loaded up.
After 3-5 minutes you should see a message in the bottom corner, java updating... jave update has completed... etc.
The ' Java VM Update Tool ' is basically the Java update files bungled into a self-extracting archive to be updated via a SD card.
(Run the .exe and it will prompt you to enter the drive letter of your SD card, then it will proceed to extract the files there).
The ' Java for eDC ' is the same Java update accept it's installed over the network via the Remote Install Manager.
Print off the Self-Diagnostic Report to confirm versions.
Dear Friend
thank you for your update.c
an you tell more abou it .i download file for mpc 3003 with file name D1475579M_upd.exe when i extract file it is like D1475579M_upd.In the sub folder i can see folder name ver11.30.00_FM_1.when i open this folder there is sdk folder ,i mean this folder you are saying to copy in sd card and what will be sequence like romdata -then -product code -then sdk file or other way to copy that.
Just copy the SDK folder onto your SD card, no Romdata folder or anything else, if you open the SDK folder there is an update folder, there is another SDK folder within the update folder, make sure it's the first SDK folder you copy across.
When you put your SD card into the machine, it extracts and installs java with no input from you, wait until you see the message "success", then power off and remove your SD card

Remember that updating the java, puts the heap and stack settings back to default. Check their values before updating, and set them correctly again after the update is done.

For what it may be worth, with Java 10.x, 11.x, and 12.x, you MUST uninstall and reinstall these apps.
Ricoh has always said that needed to be done with any app and version of Java, but we were always able to get away with updating the Java and nothing more.
Alas, that is no longer the case.
I'm not sure if some apps still work without being reinstalled, but I can say that CAP, ELP, and GSNX all need to be re-done. Been there, got the T shirt.
