[CQ] Ricoh mpc6000 dumping toner black only

Hello, machine dumping drops of toner ,black only!
The developer has 665k on drum and developer I'm wondering if I should replace the whole unit or just do a developer change and blade copy quality still very good except intermittent drops of tuner. could not find how to initiize the developer when installed! Thanks

If the K PCDU has done 665k without any PM parts previously fitted then it's well and truly running past yield and will need blades, brush, seals, grid, corona wire, drum and dev replaced.

Thanks for the response! Is there a rebuild kit or do I order everything separate? Is the developer initialized once installed, I went through the service mode and could not find that! Any other words of wisdom, would be great! Thanks again!!

D014K150 is the PM kit part number, D014 9640 is the dev. If you don't have a service manual, GET ONE. I cannot stress this enough. The Venus developer initialisation procedure is a total, complete and utter bastard, especially if you don't know the box.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

You should also check sp 3010-1 thru 4 and make sure they match the label on the front to the black pcu. I have seen these missing before. You may also want to install the custom firmware which helps with this. Also, you should set sp3501-3 to Do not execute. and sp3501-005 to 1.

I will be picking up a manual, The PM kit is that an overall pm kit or just for the black developer unit? What do you mean by "Venus developer initialization procedure" and what makes it such a pain? All I really want to address is overhauling the black and the yellow I/U needs a drum blade! ON the yellow can I just replace the blade and put some regular drum lube powder to break it in? Thanks again guy's for all your help!!!

Nope it's just not that straight forward.

There are different PM kits for different PM intervals. (E.G the drums and devs have a yield of 450k hence they are not included in the 150k kit).
You also need to use the correct lubricating setting powder designed for the model range (B1329700) or you could damage the drums and blades.

These models can be pretty temperamental and are infamous for puking toner all over the place at the best of times.

Attempting to service this model range for the first time without the aid of a service manual and the related RTBs would end up in disaster.
There is some very specific information and procedures that must be followed carefully, such as the developer filling and initialization procedure mentioned by TonerMunkeh.
