LD145 open cover but none shown

    Howdy all,

Have a LD145 (B183) that says it has an open cover but the display does not show anything. All covers when opened and closed show properly on the display.

Have disconnected all the accessories that I can but still gives the open cover. Double checked each door switch and all test fine.

Anybody have any ideas on what might be the issue?

change the door switchs above the fuser on right side.

I have not had this myself but if the door switches check out OK then I have heard that another cause can be the laser diode PCB.
The door switch circuit goes through the LD unit and if this goes open then you can get the door open display.

It was the middle switch. It appears that the arm was bent in further than the others and when straightened along with the actuator arm so all the 3 switches get fully engaged.

It's still a little funky but works consistently now.

        Thanks all !

Check for blown fuses in the Power Supply.
          Very common on Ricoh products.
I believe FU1 will give a door open indicator because it is the main 24V power that routes through door switches.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
