    [Misc] MP 5000 Firmware

    Hi Guys,

I have an MP 5000 and i want to use the scan to folder option on my windows 8 PC

I had a technician come in and what he said was that the machine needed a firmware upgrade

They charged me AED 500 (Approx $150) and still couldnt fix it

The firmware was D0135754, but ive been looking on this website and can see this isnt the correct firmware.

Is there any help i could get from one the professionals here who could guide me through this?

    Thank You

My advice is to call the tech back in and have him update the machine to all of the latest firmware.

The firmware that you need is a Special/Custom firmware: D009 NCS v7.37b LRC0451 Release date 2/7/2013. As anothertech said, have them come back out and update to the proper firmware.

        Re: MP 5000 Firmware

For the MP 5000 Windows 8 scanning requires D0135754N Network firmware. This firmware is dependent on the following firmware modules. System/Copy firmware v1.17 or later. If they didn't u[pdate to this call them back as the above have said. If the firmware is up to date it could be something else...

I called them today and what they had to say that it would take at least a week or 2 for the technicians to visit as they have a back log of calls which need to be attended first

Don't know what they're up to

Anyway if there is a firmware you guys have il be happy to buy it

I did contact paul@justmanuals buts the email bounces back

Thank you for looking into this guys

          Appreciate it

So you got charged by the service company $150 +/- for absolutely nothing, and don't seem too upset by that.
Let me guess, there was no 2 week delay for the original charge call? (funny about that)

Install a free FTP Server (Ie: Filezilla), and setup scan to FTP instead. It's non-firmware dependent and works flawlessly - OR use scan to email.
Then call the crooks that stole your money and try get a refund
            P.S.
