    Mp c4500 copy quality problem

Customer complain of poor copy quality with magenta, cyan, green and blue colors. I am using a katun color test target when i print in color. Black and yellow print fine but cyan and magenta have white spots in it. Green square is green with blue spots and Blue is mostly magenta with a little blue. I have replace devlp powder and drum unit for both colors. Tried a different transport assy no difference also tried a different developer units for those colors same problem. I think it might be laser assy but not sure.

I would appreciate any help i could get on this problem.

    Thanks

Image troubleshooting is so much easier with samples to look at.
Upload some images please. - Both copy, AND internal test page

The guide holding the Paper transfer roller tends to break in the inner plastic hinge.
Also take a look on the two stoppers for this unit in the machine, breaks in the top.
Please start you post with brand, model, problem.

If you think Black and yellow look fine, then you'd better get your eyes checked. Each colour is as washed-out as the next.
How does the image look on the transfer belt?
I'm leaning towards a transfer roller, based on what you say you've done so far.

            I also call Transfer roller.
The pattern is the same on each color.

Bump up Transfer roller voltage just a bit and lower just a bit.

            Pattern should change.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Just curious, are currently you using modified SPC811 PCU's in the machine ?

You can confirm if it's a transfer problem if you stop the machine, remove or look at the image on the belt, if its good & solid then you know its a transfer issue.

Poor quality or damp paper will also cause this issue, open a new good quality packet of paper see if this helps.

I was told that a tech had change transfer roller assy from a fuser kit that was bought for another copier but fuser could be used. that roller was double the size. Giving him right transfer assy should fix problem.

Tech installed new transfer roller said still having same problem. I am going out to site and try stopping unit and look at transfer assy. copier has 441,000 on copies and 338,000 on prints. Has new drums and developer powder for all colors using oem toner. Will try changing transfer voltage see if it make a difference. Color calibration works fine no error codes. Will pull out laser assy to make sure noting on lens. I have also tried fresh paper last time i was there no difference.

Make shure to take some other paper brand from your shop with you for testing.

Stop transfer assy so image is still on it. if you look at sample black was fine
yellow square was ok but across was to be blue but on transfer assy was magenta looking
then next square down magenta was fine but green was blue looking

then next two squares were fine which were magenta and cyan

i did background color copies and this is what they look like.church sample5.pdf

Thinking that may be developer unit clutch maybe slipping will try next.

Are you using genuine Ricoh toner? and the correct toner for that model?
