    Ricoh 1515

    Hi
I have a Ricoh 1515 when I put a paper through the ADF I get lines down the page. When I copy it on the glass I have no lines. The small glass for the ADF is clean. These lines look like its logic lines of some kind. The lines don't go off the page so its not the drum. They stay with in the registration. White reference is clean in the ADF Drum is good. Fuser is good. We know this has nothing to do with it. Because the copy on the glass is good. I have been a Tech for 25 years so I have some experience. Cant remember the fix for this. Anyone have any ideas?

This machine is designed to be Fax "1515(F)" so the QC is bad out of the box also very expensive click wise. Cost about 4 times more per page than the going rate. You must open the Df From the top to get to the slit glass. If it was white correction the whole page would have background.

Looks like the page is pulling away from the glass in the middle of the page.
            Whatever

Not sure what you're referring to here. "Yes" it's an old one, but the PCU, Toner, Fuser rollers, and basically everything excluding electronics remain the same through generations up to and including the MP201. It's a very reasonable cost/copy.
I actually still have several of these units in service. Frankly, they're almost bulletproof, and for many of my low volume users, until they experience a catastrophic failure, they see no benefit to upgrading - other than colour scanning. It's difficult to argue.

The top assembly is bent, I have one doing the same thing. Lift up on the scanner assembly as the original is fed and the symptom will change. I tried everything to repair but could not get it fixed. Trying to upgrade them.
