    MPC 6501 SC436

Hoping someone can help me here.
I'm new to this model, I usually work on the smaller 02 & 03 range etc so a little stuck on this error, it happens every day or when I run calibration.
I have the service manual & it states the issue is with the black pcu or potential sensor.
What is it most likely to be, should I replace the PCU or Dev or is there an SP code I can set?
    Any help would be apreciated.

It could either be the black drum or potential sensor that's faulty. I would swap the sensor with another colour and see if the fault transfers. The sensor sits above the PCU and just clips out.

From the Goose's Guide, Potential sensor error: Vd K - Sensor dirty or defective, charge corona defective or wires dirty, charge power pack defective, OPC drum defective. The first things to try are to clean the sensor and charge corona wires. If the maintenance counters indicate that it is past due for rebuild/replacement of the charge corona or OPC drum, replace them.

There are a number of bulletins on these beasts concerning toner scattering and light copies. Look them up and make sure that the SP settings they recommend have been made. Be sure to clean all scattered toner at your next call. There are also a number of threads on this model line.

If you do not have the Goose's Guide, download it and use it for troubleshooting. GG_Oct_2014.zip
